Project Manager – Electricity Infrastructure (Outside IR35)

Location: Primarily Home-Based (with occasional UK site visits)

Contract Length: 6 Months (Initial) + Extension Potential

Rate: Market Aligned / Competitive Day Rate

IR35 Status: Outside IR35 (Small Company Exemption applies)

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of critical electricity infrastructure projects. This role sits at the heart of project execution, interfacing between National Grid assets and IDNO environments. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, ensuring technical, commercial, and regulatory alignment.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery: Full end-to-end oversight of infrastructure schemes from inception to commissioning.

Stakeholder Coordination: Managing complex interfaces between the client, National Grid, and regulatory bodies.

*

Governance & Reporting: Leading programme oversight, risk/issue management, and financial reporting.

*

Contract Management: Ensuring project alignment with NEC4 contract requirements and technical standards.

*

Site Engagement: Leading occasional site visits to ensure delivery alignment (approved business mileage covered).

Required Experience & Qualifications

*

Sector Expertise: Proven track record of project delivery within the Electricity / Utility / Infrastructure sectors.

*

National Grid Exposure: Prior experience interfacing with National Grid is highly desirable.

*

Technical Standards: Familiarity with National Grid technical standards (e.g., TP163 / TP137) is advantageous.

*

Contract Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of NEC4 contracts.

*

Leadership: Exceptional stakeholder management and project control capabilities.
