Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting our longstanding client with the appointment of a Mechanical Fitter on a permanent basis to join them at their facility in Cramlington.
In this role you will be responsible for assembling parts made from metal, mechanical maintenance, installation, welding and fabrication of a broad range of equipment.
Job Description
* Mechanical fitting using the direction of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Work on Precision Parts, Sub-Assemblies and Final Assemblies
* Carry out Final Test and Commissioning on Part Completed or Completed Systems
* The Mechanical Fitter will raise non-conformance issues
* The Mechanical Fitter will be working to set deadlines to achieve performance targets and Customer delivery commitments
* Install, test and repair hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors and valves
Skills Required
* Must have the ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply instructions correctly to achieve required product quality
* Using hand tools as well as grinders and drills
* Previous experience working with hydraulics
* Must hold an Engineering Apprenticeship qualification within a Manufacturing/Engineering environment, or relevant recognised qualification (or extensive industry experience)
Hours of work
* Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4pm
* Friday 8am-12pm
* Contracted hours are 36 hours per week
* Overtime is regularly available at an enhanced rate
