Construction Planner - New Build/Residential

The Role
Our client is a leading Contractor/Developer specialising in new build residential contracts. They have an outstanding reputation for delivering high quality projects on time and budget and are regularly being awarded Large Housebuilder of the year, First Time Buyer Readers’ Award and a number of WhatHouse? Awards.
With a commitment to excellence and innovation, they are currently seeking an experienced Construction Planner to join their team on a fixed-term basis to support an exciting new build development in Bishop’s Stortford. As a Construction Planner, you will be responsible for the planning and programming of all aspects of the construction process, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using planning software (e.g., Asta Powerproject, Primavera, or MS Project)
* Monitor project progress and update programmes accordingly
* Identify and mitigate project risks and delays
* Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and the wider project team to ensure effective communication and coordination
* Provide short-term and long-term lookahead programmes
* Support the preparation of tender programmes and method statements as needed
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Construction Planner, ideally within the new build sector
* Strong working knowledge of planning software (Asta Powerproject preferred)
* Excellent understanding of construction sequencing and project management principles
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* CSCS card (desirable)
