Our Bedford-based company is seeking a reliable, skilled Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our team. This role offers an excellent path to permanent employment for the right candidate, with the opportunity to become an essential part of our growing business.
Class 1 Tramper Driver ( C + E )
* **Location:** Bedford
* **Contract:** Temp to Perm
* **Shift:** Monday to Friday (with occasional weekend work)
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently transport goods to designated locations, ensuring timely deliveries
- Handle long-haul routes with nights out, tramping during the week as needed
- Conduct pre- and post-vehicle inspections, reporting any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate records, including delivery notes and vehicle logs
### **Requirements:**
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) license with a clean driving record
- Previous tramping experience preferred
- CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card
- Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and reliability
- Ability to manage long hours with night stays as required
