Senior Workshop Technician (Hydraulic Hoses) – Branch/Trade Counter Based

Working hours: 8:30am-4:45pm (Mon-Thurs) 8:30am-4:15pm (Fri)

We are looking for an experienced and technically competent Senior Hydraulic Hose Technician to join our branch-based team. This is a key position supporting the day-to-day operation of the trade counter and workshop, with a focus on hydraulic hose assembly, testing, and customer service.

This role will suit someone with a strong background in hydraulic hose manufacturing and testing, who is confident working independently and ready to take on additional responsibilities. There is clear potential for progression into a Distribution Supervisor role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

* Leading the accurate assembly, pressure testing, and quality control of hydraulic hose products

* Supporting and mentoring team members in best practices and safety procedures

* Advising walk-in customers and trade clients at the counter on technical requirements and solutions

* Supporting the management of workshop organisation, stock levels, and tooling to ensure efficient operations

* Playing a central role in health and safety compliance and quality assurance within the branch

* Supporting the Distribution Manager with day-to-day coordination and operations as required

About You:

* Proven experience in hydraulic hose manufacturing, assembly, and testing is essential

* Strong mechanical understanding of hydraulic systems and fluid power components

* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety

* Good communication and organisational skills; comfortable working with customers and team members alike

* Self-motivated, reliable and able to take the initiative in a workshop and trade counter environment

* Ambition to progress into a supervisory position
