Job Title: Carpenter  – Trades and Operations
 Location: Within Southampton City boundary
Pay Rate: £21.00 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week
Van Provided | Uniform & PPE Supplied About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join the Housing Operations team for a local authority. This role involves carrying out a wide range of construction and property maintenance tasks across council properties within the city boundary.
You will be provided with a van, uniform, and PPE, and will be expected to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service in both occupied and vacant properties. Key Responsibilities:
Performing a variety of carpentry tasks and general property maintenance
Working independently across different council housing sites
Carrying out small works in other trade disciplines when required
Liaising with residents, colleagues, and supervisors in a professional and respectful manner
Ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standardWhat We’re Looking For:
Previous experience working for a housing association or local council is essential
Strong carpentry skills and confidence in delivering multi-trade work
Experience with UPVC installation and general property maintenance is advantageous
Self-motivated, with strong communication and customer service skills
A practical understanding of the construction and maintenance industryWhat’s Provided:
