Aspire People is working in close partnership with a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Central Manchester, who are seeking a qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team.
This is a full-time role within a Nursery/Reception setting, supporting children at a crucial stage of their development. The school places strong importance on early language, routine, emotional wellbeing, and learning through play, and offers a supportive environment where staff are genuinely valued.
The Role
As a Qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support children within Nursery and/or Reception through play-based learning
Assist with the delivery of the EYFS curriculum, including phonics, early maths, and communication
Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required
Support children with personal care, routines, and transitions
Help create a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment
Observe and record progress to support assessment and planning
Work closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 EYFS / Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
Has recent experience working within EYFS in a school or nursery setting
Has a strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework
Is caring, patient, and confident supporting young children
Communicates effectively with staff, parents, and pupils
Is committed to safeguarding and child wellbeing
