Lead Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to deliver high-quality mechanical designs and technical documentation that meet customer requirements, industry standards, and all safety and regulatory obligations.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce mechanical designs, calculations, and technical documentation.
* Take ownership of design packages from concept through to manufacture.
* Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
* Provide technical support to Sales, Operations, and wider business teams.
* Act as technical authority for assigned projects and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential:
* BEng/MEng in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
* Experience in mechanical design within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD (e.g. AutoCAD, Creo).
* Knowledge of engineering standards, legislation, and H&S requirements.
Desirable:
* IEng or CEng (or working toward).
* Experience acting as a design or technical authority.
