M4 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a production operative to work the late shift for a well-established manufacturing company based in Swindon.

Shifts Available:

PM Shift: Monday- Thursday (15:00-00:30) Friday (15:00-1900)

Role Duties:

* Operation of specialist laser cutting machines to manufacture high quality MDF at the required quality and output levels.

* Follow quality monitoring processes and procedures to ensure the highest standards possible and provide feedback to supervisors when required. Ensure correct boxes are used and that all products are cut through accurately, precisely and cleanly.

* Monitor all waste and non - compliant product and record all such occurrences, requesting re-prints and replacement boxes when required.

* Scan all jobs onto the ERP system in real time to ensure up to date information on all production processes.

* Prioritise health and safety in all areas of operation, ensuring adherence to all risk assessments, safe systems of work and training. PPE to be worn whenever required.

* Machine maintenance, cleaning, trouble shooting and fault finding, working in conjunction with technical department when required.

* Maintain log sheets of filter change activity and gas changeovers.

* Maintain a clean and tidy work environment at all times, ensuring high levels of housekeeping and suggesting improvements wherever possible.

* Follow all required protocols when operating the lasers, such as start-up and shut- down procedures and accurately ID stamping all finished product boxes.

* Participate in and ensure complete accuracy of periodic stock takes whenever required.
