Hours: Full-time, 08:30-15:00 (Term-time only)
Pay: £85-£100 per day (dependent on experience)
Location: ChippenhamWe are working with a fantastic specialist primary school in Chippenham that supports children aged 4-11 with Autism and other complex learning needs. The school is looking for a compassionate and proactive Behaviour Support Assistant to join their dedicated team as soon as possible.
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the emotional, behavioural, and educational development of pupils. You'll work closely with class teachers and mental health professionals, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals considering a future career in education, child psychology, or youth support work.
A Behaviour Support Assistant role will include:
Providing support in the classroom on a 1:1 or small group basis
Assisting children with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges
Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Promoting emotional understanding and resilience
Working with the school team to contribute to and implement personalised support strategiesThe ideal Behaviour Support Assistant will:
Have previous experience working with children (preferred but not essential)
Be enthusiastic, patient, and resilient
Remain calm and compassionate in challenging situations
