Responsibilities:
-Create, develop, and maintain detailed structural drawings, specifications, reports, and other key documentation, from feasibility through to finalised design.
-Contribute towards the assembly of in-depth structural designs, calculations, and analyses, ensuring alignment with key UK industry regulations and standards.
-Work alongside internal and external project teams, across a range of disciplines, allowing for issue resolution, constructability advice, sustainability, and cost efficiency.
-Support site investigations and assessments, through frequent site visits, and feasibility studies, whilst providing technical insights and guidance throughout.
-Promote the professional development of junior engineers by providing ongoing guidance and mentorship, ensuring quality assurance and best practice.
-Ensure projects are delivered effectively, adhering to cost and timeline constrictions, allowing for client requirements to be ensured and maintained across all projects.
Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering, or a relevant discipline, ideally with an obtained Chartered Engineer status.
-Significant experience within a Structural Engineering role, preferably at an associate level, delivering a range of complex structural projects.
-Strong technical understanding of structural systems and elements, preferably with previous experience working with SMEs, and a proficiency with relevant software tools.
-Sound acknowledgment of relevant UK industry regulations, standards, codes, and key legislation, with an understanding of best practice and sustainability strategies.
-Effective team management, mentoring, and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail, and a proactive, forward-thinking mindset
