English Teacher - Hillingdon (January 2026 Start)

A large secondary school based in the Hillingdon area is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their team from January 2026 on a long-term contract, with potential to continue until at least July 2026.

This is a full-time position. Working hours are 8:30am - 3:30pm. The role offers a competitive salary in line with Outer London MPS/UPS and on-site parking is available.

English Teacher - Hillingdon, London

Deliver engaging and inspiring English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering students' understanding and appreciation of literature and language.

Encourage students to think critically, write creatively, and communicate effectively through a varied and challenging curriculum.

Support the development of key literacy skills and help students build confidence in their written and spoken English.

Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all students are encouraged to achieve their full potential.

Contribute to a collaborative and dynamic English department, sharing best practice and supporting whole-school literacy initiatives.

Qualifications and Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

A degree in English or a related subject

Excellent subject knowledge and passion for teaching English

Ability to engage, inspire and motivate students of all abilities

Strong classroom management and communication skills
