About the Role:

This is a home-based role with frequent travel to customer sites and the company’s West Midlands workshop. During your first 6-12 months, you’ll spend additional time at the HQ for hands-on training with their systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Install, commission, and service machinery at customer sites

* Act as the first point of contact for technical support (onsite, online & phone)

* Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and deliver aftercare support

* Support customer FATs and contribute to the ‘prior-to-ship’ quality sign-off process

* Deliver planned maintenance (PPMs) and customer training sessions

* Assist the build team during busy periods with new machine assembly

* Handle service documentation and admin from home during quieter periods

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for someone with a background in: Field Service Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or Technical Support—ideally in a machinery or automation setting. Ex-Forces Engineers are also encouraged to apply!

You’ll need:

* Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills

* Experience working on automated equipment or capital machinery

* Familiarity with machine safety systems and standards

* Ability to work independently and flexibly

* Relevant qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering

* A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel with overnight stays
