Job Title: Electrical Supervisor

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £45,000

Overview:

A great opportunity for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead the electrical aspects of renewable energy installations, including solar PV and heat pump systems. This role offers involvement in end-to-end project delivery from planning through to commissioning, with a strong focus on compliance and quality assurance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervise electrical teams across renewable installations (solar, heat pumps).
Carry out desktop surveys and ensure compliance with BS7671 and other standards.
Oversee grid applications and DNO coordination.
Perform testing, commissioning, and quality checks of electrical systems.
Interpret electrical schematics and maintain certification documentation.
Ensure H&S compliance and deliver toolbox talks.
Liaise with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
Skills & Qualifications:

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
ECS Gold Card or equivalent (essential).
Strong experience supervising electrical work in renewables.
Good knowledge of solar PV, battery storage, and grid requirements.
Health & safety awareness and site management practices.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:

2391/2394/2395 Inspection & Testing qualifications.
Experience with battery storage or EV charger installations.
MCS and PAS 2030 experience.
SMSTS/SSSTS or equivalent site supervision qualification.
