Job Summary
We are seeking either a full-time Clinical Psychologist (5 days) or a part-time Consultant Clinical Psychologist (3 days) to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team in Cheadle, working across two inpatient brain injury wards (10 and 8 beds).
These specialist neurorehabilitation wards support adults with acquired brain injuries presenting with a range of complex cognitive, emotional, and behavioural needs. The successful candidate will provide high-quality psychological assessment, formulation and intervention, and play an active role in staff support and service development.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct neuropsychological and psychological assessments
Deliver evidence-based interventions, both individual and group
Provide psychological input into care and rehabilitation planning
Offer consultation, training, and reflective practice to staff
Attend MDT meetings, contributing to care planning and risk assessments
Provide support to families and carers
Supervise assistant psychologists and trainees (as appropriate)
Support service development and promote a psychologically informed environment
Person Specification
Essential:
Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (BPS accredited)
HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist
Experience with brain injury or neurological conditions
Knowledge of neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation
Strong MDT working, communication, and organisational skills
Commitment to safeguarding and patient-centred care
Consultant Post (additional):
Substantial post-qualification experience in neuropsychology/brain injury
Leadership experience and supervision of qualified staff
Experience in service development
Ideally on BPS Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists (or working towards)
Desirable:
Training in CBT, ACT, CAT, or systemic approaches
Experience with trauma-informed care or PBS
Background in inpatient or residential neurorehabilitation
