Early Years Teaching Assistant - Primary School - Tottenham - September 2025 Start

A vibrant and community-led primary school in the heart of Tottenham is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their EYFS team in September 2025. With a welcoming and inclusive environment, the school places a strong emphasis on early childhood development and ensuring every child is supported from the start of their learning journey.

The successful Early Years Teaching Assistant will work in either Nursery or Reception, providing group and one-to-one support for pupils with a range of needs including Autism, speech and language delay, and sensory processing differences. The Teaching Assistant will be responsible for helping to deliver learning through structured play, supporting phonics sessions, and reinforcing early numeracy and communication skills.

To be considered for this Teaching Assistant role, you must:

Have experience working with SEN pupils in an EYFS setting

Be confident supporting early speech and language development

Demonstrate a nurturing, calm, and adaptable approach

Work effectively as part of a collaborative team

This Teaching Assistant post would suit a qualified TA or an Early Years specialist, and the school also welcomes applications from recent Psychology or Early Childhood graduates looking to put their knowledge into practice. The school is holding trial days before the end of term, so early applications are encouraged.
