Remedicare are currently recruiting for a Second Chef for our clients medium sized residential care home in Woking!

We’re on the lookout for a talented and passionate Second Chef to bring creativity, quality, and energy to my client's care home kitchen. In this vital role, you’ll support the Head Chef in delivering delicious, nutritious meals that make a real difference in our residents’ lives.

Second Chef Job Details:

* You must be eligible to work in the UK

* 40 hours contracted per week (including rotational weekend)

* £14.56ph

* 7am - 5pm shift times

Second Chef - Duties and Responsibilities?

Under the guidance of a Head Chef on duty, you will be a part of a dedicated team. Preparing and cooking high quality meals, assisting the Head Chef and Home Manager in menu planning. The Second Chef must ensure Residents with special dietary needs receive attractive, appropriate and varied meals.

* Menu planning

* Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment

* Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner

* Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards

* Follow recipes and presentation specifications

* Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

* Restock items as needed throughout the shift

* Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards

* Recording food temperatures

Second Chef Role Requirements:

* Strong communication skills

* Ability to work as part of a team and individually

* Flexibility and be able to adapt to the needs of Residents

* Experience in a similar environment as a second chef

* Actively help maintain compliance with current Dietary, Food Safety and EHO Standards.

* Passionate about cooking
