Quality Engineer - Swindon - £50k

Platform Recruitment have partnered with a leading electronic manufacturer. They are looking to recruit a quality engineer who is experienced in investigations and supplier quality management within the electronics space.

In this role, you’ll lead structured 8D investigations, collaborate with internal teams and global suppliers. From conducting initial inspections to resolving supplier-related quality issues, you’ll play a vital part in improving product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Lead 8D investigations and manage the customer return process end-to-end.

Communicate investigation findings and corrective actions clearly and professionally.

*

Participate in supplier audits and supplier evaluation

*

Ensure effective resolution of non-conformities and quality complaints

Key skills:

* Internal auditor IATF 16949 or VDA6.3 (can be expired certificate)

* Experience in managing strategic suppliers (manage supplier evaluation and improvement projects, PPAP’s, FMEA’s).

* 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, demonstrating an understanding of manufacturing electronics components.
