We are looking for an Electronics Design Engineer based in Cambridge, to join a growing design and manufacture that specialise in a range of fire detection technologies that are sold all over the UK.

Key responsibilities of the Electronics Design Engineer:

*

Schematic design, circuit layout, prototyping, and bench testing

*

Producing engineering reports and operating manuals

*

Supporting hardware and software engineers as required

*

Assisting the engineering team by validating software, providing inputs to equipment design, wiring test kits, and debugging electronics

*

Conducting analyses on faulty products and reporting findings

Key skills / experience required for the Electronics Design Engineer:

* Strong general understanding of electronics

*

Experience with schematic design, circuit layout, prototyping, and bench testing

*

Experience with low-power microcontrollers

*

High dynamic range analog design skills

*

Strong NPI (New Product Introduction / Development) experience

*

Proficiency in Altium

*

Previous experience working within and supporting an R&D team

*

Experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial

* Driving licence required
