Carmichael UK is working with a leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Agent / Site Agent (Structures) for a major infrastructure project in Buckinghamshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a key leadership role in the delivery of complex structural works on a high-profile scheme.

The Role

As Agent, you will be responsible for the successful day-to-day management of structural packages, ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead site teams and coordinate subcontractors while working closely with senior project management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of structural works including bridges, viaducts, retaining walls, and reinforced concrete structures

Manage site teams, Sub Agents, Site Engineers, and subcontractors

Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, RAMS, and programme

Oversee setting out, QA documentation, and as-built records

Coordinate temporary works and interfaces with adjacent packages

Monitor progress, manage risk, and resolve technical and delivery issues

Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance

About You

Proven experience as an Agent / Site Agent on major civil or infrastructure projects

Strong background in structures and reinforced concrete works

Experience working for a Tier 1 or major civil engineering contractor

Confident leader with the ability to drive works forward and manage multiple workstreams

SMSTS and CSCS (essential)

Excellent communication and organisational skills
