Position Title: Shift Manager
Location: Fawley, Hampshire
Application Deadline: 4 July 2025
Shift Pattern: 2 days / 2 nights / 4 days off (6-cycle shift followed by 12 days off)

Overview:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shift Manager to join a high-performing industrial operations team based in Hampshire. In this role, you will lead plant operations on a rotating shift basis, ensuring compliance, safety, and performance standards are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate daily plant operations during assigned shifts

Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operation of plant systems and equipment

Work closely with the remote operations centre to optimise production output

Issue and control Permits to Work and monitor contractor activity for compliance

Review production and shift reports to identify performance improvement opportunities

Conduct routine inspections of plant assets and raise maintenance work orders

Respond to emergency situations and abnormal operating conditions

Promote a culture of continuous improvement and safety excellence across the shift team

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Completed apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical, or process engineering

Prior experience in a continuous process or industrial manufacturing environment

Strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental practices

Effective communicator and confident decision-maker under pressure

Proactive, organised, and a strong planner

Experience in petrochemical, refining, or a related industrial sector is highly desirable
