Secondary Learning Support Assistants – Classroom & 1:1 Support

Location: Staffordshire (local roles available)
Salary: £90–£110 per day (experience dependent)
Contract: Full-time and part-time | Day-to-day & long-term placements
Start Date: Immediate

We are working with a range of secondary schools across Staffordshire who are seeking committed Learning Support Assistants to support pupils in the classroom and on a 1:1 basis.

This role is perfect for anyone with experience working with young people — whether in education, youth work, care or community settings — and who thrives helping students overcome barriers to learning.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Supporting class teachers to deliver engaging lessons

* Providing targeted 1:1 and small group interventions

* Helping pupils manage their learning, focus and confidence

* Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation

* Supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs

* Assisting with record keeping and learning plans

* Promoting independence and resilience in students

What We’re Looking For

* Experience working with young people (education or care preferred)

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills

* Patience, empathy and a proactive attitude

* Behaviour management confidence (training can be provided)

* Ability to follow guidance and work effectively as part of a team

Full UK driving licence highly desirable due to roles across multiple schools — but not essential
