Mechanical Project Manager / Senior Mechanical Project Manager | M&E Contractor | Mechanical Building Services | Central London | £60,000 – £75,000 + Car or Car Allowance + Benefits
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager or Senior Mechanical Project Manager to join a respected M&E Building Services contractor delivering projects from £100k to £5m.
The company is a well-established Mechanical Building Services contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial refurbishment and plantroom projects across London and the South. Known for its supportive leadership team and practical, delivery-focused culture, the business provides genuine autonomy and long-term progression.
The Project – Central London Mechanical Installation
You will take responsibility for delivering a live Mechanical Building Services project in Central London involving:
* Central plantroom installation
* External plant area
* Refurbished student accommodation
* HIUs (Heat Interface Units)
* Radiators
* Ensuites
* Associated HVAC, pipework and plumbing systems
The project is largely first fix complete, so the focus will be:
* Managing 2nd fix mechanical installation
* Driving subcontractors to completion
* Commissioning and handover
* Programme management
* Quality control and snag resolution
* Void closures
There is a strong pipeline of future Mechanical Building Services projects, offering continuity beyond this scheme.
Start date ideally within 3–4 weeks.
The Role – Mechanical Project Manager / M&E Project Manager
As Mechanical Project Manager, you will:
* Act as the client’s primary point of contact
* Manage and coordinate mechanical subcontractors
* Oversee plantroom, HVAC, plumbing and pipefitting installation
* Drive 2nd fix through to commissioning
* Ensure programme milestones are achieved
* Manage site documentation and reporting
* Complete RAMS, toolbox talks, plant registers and weekly reporting packs
* Maintain full health & safety compliance
* Liaise with senior management and commercial teams
Who This Would Suit:
An experienced Mechanical Project Manager, Senior Mechanical Project Manager, Mechanical Contracts Manager stepping down to project level, Mechanical Site Manager ready to step up, or an M&E Project Manager with strong mechanical bias
Essential experience:
* Mechanical Building Services background
* Strong plumbing and pipefitting knowledge
* Experience delivering plantroom or commercial refurbishment projects
* Confident client-facing communication skills
* Ability to take ownership and drive delivery
This role would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on, takes pride in delivering quality mechanical installations, and wants real responsibility on site.
Remuneration Package – Mechanical Project Manager
* £60,000 – £75,000
* Car or Car Allowance
* Pension, bonus scheme, company phone and laptop, and 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing annually with service to a maximum of 28 days.
