Special Needs Teacher – Birmingham
Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity teaching small classes of children with special educational needs?  This vibrant special school is looking to add a Special Needs Teacher to its friendly and supportive team.

The school has wonderful facilities, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and a leadership team that are committed to ensuring that every child thrives. As a Special Needs Teacher, you will be joining an experienced team of teachers and teaching assistants who are committed to providing each child with a nurturing and engaging education. The Headteacher is supportive and provides a platform for all staff to succeed. Ideally you will have precious experience as a Special Needs Teacher, however the school are happy to consider a teacher from either a mainstream primary or secondary background. This role requires QTS, and a positive approach! The school are happy to provide additional  training and support for an aspiring Special Needs Teacher.
 
Job Role:

Planning and delivering lessons tailored to the needs of pupils
Teaching classes of no more than 6 children
Creating lessons that are engaging, and encourage participation
Differentiating lessons to meet a wide range of abilities and communication profiles
Working closely with a team of Teaching Assistants to provide tailored support
Building rapport with pupils and promoting confidence, independence and progress
Working collaboratively with colleagues, therapists, and senior leadersYou Will Need:

QTS or QTLS (essential)
Previous experience of working with SEND, ideally Autism, MLD or complex needs is desirable
Strong classroom management and a nurturing approach
