iSQ Recruitment is supporting a powerhouse behind one of the UK’s most iconic ingredients with their search for a highly experienced Electrical & Control Lead Engineer. In this role, you'll lead site-wide electrical, control and instrumentation activities in a high-performing industrial environment. As the site’s subject matter expert, you'll ensure the integrity, safety, and reliability of EC&I systems—delivering maintenance excellence, leading defect elimination, and embedding reliability-centred strategies through cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the site Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all EC&I systems.
Lead electrical safety programmes in compliance with the Electrical Code of Practice (ECOP).
Own the technical integrity of EC&I plant and systems, ensuring all equipment meets safety, compliance, and performance standards.
Define and deliver technical specifications for fault repair, modifications and enhancements.
Lead the implementation of engineering and cyber security standards for EC&I assets.
Coach, mentor and develop engineering teams and APU (Autonomous Production Unit) leads to embed reliable, compliant EC&I operations.
Deliver reliability-centred maintenance (RCM) programmes and defect elimination initiatives to maximise uptime and minimise cost per tonne.
Act as the change authority for EC&I modifications and new installations. Knowledge & Qualifications
Chartered Electrical Engineer or extensive equivalent experience.
Membership of the Institution of Electrical Engineers (or equivalent professional body).
NEBOSH Safety certificate.
Strong working knowledge of British Standards for engineering plant, systems and practices.
In-depth understanding of industrial electrical plant, control and instrumentation systems.
Full right to work in the UK.
