Due to a sustained period of growth, anew opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer within an impressive, newly revamped manufacturing business based in Redditch.

You’ll be joining a hugely successful company that hires over 200 staff across the site, along with a fully established maintenance department where you’ll be responsible for the electrical & mechanical repairs to production machinery, electronic ancillary equipment.

This role will cover a 3 shift system Monday to Friday, to provide round the clock coverage on all production facilities.

Responsibilities for the maintenance engineer include -

- To provide both electrical and mechanical breakdown maintenance to all machinery and equipment on site
- Reacting to urgent breakdowns, reducing machine downtime to a minimum
- Ensure adequate spares and parts are ordered correctly
- Following PPM’s to ensure all equipment is routinely serviced and inspected
- Continuous improvement projects, upgrades and modifications to existing machinery/processes
- Supporting the maintenance manager with facilitating the in house CMMS

To be successful in this role of maintenance engineer, we’re looking for -

- Previous experience as a multi skilled maintenance engineer or maintenance technician
- Apprentice trained, and hold a recognized qualification in either mechanical or electrical engineering
- Exposure to Automotive or high volume, fast paced production
- Be able to carry out repairs and breakdown response to capital equipment
- Understand and interpret electrical & mechanical drawings
- Strong problem solving skills, and route cause analysis
