A fulltime Interim Accountant position requiring 3 days in the office in central Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join a respected organisation in the not-for-profit sector to support over year end.

The organisation is a respected entity within the not-for-profit industry, known for its commitment to excellence and high standards. Looking to appoint an interim Accountant on a Contract between 14th July 2025 and 10th October 2025

Description

Responsibilities:

- Ensure smooth year-end and audit processes

- Support routine finance operations

- Allow permanent staff to focus on system implementation

Key Task:

- Prepare, analyse, and distribute monthly management account reports in Excel

- Liaise with departmental heads to gather data and explain reports

2. Key Responsibilities

2.1 Year-end Accounts & Audit FY25

- Support the team with year-end account preparation and audit.

- Prepare schedules, respond to audit queries, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and other finance tasks.

- Produce month-end and year-end schedules to support staff involved in the system transition

2.2 Great Plains - Close Down (Year End to 31/07/2025)

- Complete year-end close

- Assist in rolling forward balances into the new system.

- Prepare reports for archiving historical financial data.

2.3 Leave Cover

- Provide cover for Finance Director and Financial Controller during leave.

- Handle a broad range of finance-related issues.Profile

Essential Criteria:

Recognised CCAB qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Strong financial accounting and reporting experience
Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis
Excellent project management and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlinesJob Offer

Competitive salary up to £68,000 depending on experience.
