We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Freight Forwarder to join their established team. This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable import professional looking to work in a stable and supportive environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing end-to-end import operations, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently, compliantly, and within required timeframes. The successful candidate will be confident working independently and liaising with ports, customs authorities, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Managing end-to-end import shipments

*

Processing customs entries using CDS (Customs Declaration Service)

*

Liaising with Port Health authorities and managing related procedures

*

Handling documentation, invoices, and customs paperwork

*

Maintaining accurate records in a paper-based filing system

*

Ensuring full compliance with customs and import regulations

Requirements

*

Minimum 3+ years’ experience in freight forwarding

*

Proven experience managing end-to-end imports

*

Strong working knowledge of CDS

*

Experience with Port Health procedures and liaison

*

Comfortable working in a paper-based office environment

*

Experience within the food sector (highly desirable)

What’s on Offer

Salary between £27,000 – £35,000, depending on experience
