Role: HR & Payroll Administrator
Salary: up to £30,500
Location: Prescot
Working Structure: Office Based
Reports to: HR Manager.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-focused HR & Payroll Officer to join our dynamic and supportive HR team. In this dual-role position, you’ll be responsible for delivering both daily HR support and full-cycle payroll processing for a varied employee base.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you’ll collaborate with team members, line managers, and external payroll providers to ensure efficient operations, compliance with legal requirements, and a positive employee experience across all HR and payroll activities.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related enquiries, providing administrative support throughout the employee lifecycle
Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, employee contracts, and maintain accurate personnel records
Prepare and process weekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring accuracy and timely payments
Calculate salary adjustments, bonuses, and statutory entitlements such as SSP and SMP
Submit payroll reports and returns (FPS, RTI, pension contributions) and address payroll-related queries
Assist with HR meetings, recruitment administration, and employee benefits coordination
Ensure data integrity and compliance with GDPR and current payroll legislation What You’ll Need
Proven experience in both HR functions and end-to-end payroll processing
In-depth knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, and statutory payroll regulations
Skilled in using Sage 50 Payroll and HR information systems
Exceptional attention to detail, strong time management, and effective communication skills
CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent is desirable Interested?
