Job Title: Site Manager (Construction or M&E)

Location: Cambridge

Rate: £350 per day (negotiable)

Contract Length: 8–9 weeks

Start Date: 26th January

Project: New build commercial office development

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of mechanical and electrical works on a new build commercial office project in Cambridge. You will be responsible for day-to-day site management, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate M&E subcontractors on site

Oversee daily site activities and short-term programmes

Ensure full compliance with CDM regulations and health & safety standards

Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular safety inspections

Liaise with the main contractor, project managers, and other trades

Monitor quality of installation and resolve any site issues

Ensure works are completed in line with programme and client expectations

Requirements

Background in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) projects preferred

Proven experience managing subcontractors on commercial projects

Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and site health & safety procedures

SMSTS and First Aid (preferred)

Available to start on 26th January and commit to the full contract duration
