Are you a passionate and reflective Religious Education teacher with QTS? Do you want to inspire students to think critically about faith, ethics, and the world around them?

We are seeking a Qualified Religious Education Teacher to join a diverse and inclusive secondary school. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead meaningful classroom discussions, promote interfaith understanding, and develop students’ awareness of moral and philosophical issues.

About the Role:

You will deliver engaging RE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5), supporting students in developing their critical thinking, empathy, and knowledge of world religions. You’ll join a well-resourced Humanities department and be part of a school community that values respect, curiosity, and dialogue.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver RE lessons in line with national curriculum and school ethos

Encourage respectful discussion of religious, ethical, and philosophical issues

Support students of all backgrounds in developing spiritual and moral awareness

Monitor and assess student progress, providing effective feedback

Contribute to whole-school activities, assemblies, and enrichment opportunities

What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

A degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or a related subject

Strong subject knowledge and commitment to inclusive education

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

A passion for teaching and promoting interfaith understanding
