Overview
A key member of the Design Engineering team, responsible for supporting the full product lifecycle—from concept through to compliance—by producing high-quality systems engineering documentation.
 
Key Responsibilities

Analyse customer documentation to capture and define system requirements.
Develop initial design documentation, including:
Design specifications
System architecture diagrams
Project plans (development, verification, safety)
Collaborate cross-functionally to compile proposals and cost estimates.
Generate Bills of Materials using the company ERP system.
Produce design validation and compliance documentation:
Factory Acceptance Test plans
Design proving reports
Final compliance matrices and qualification test reports
Coordinate environmental and EMC testing at certified facilities (some domestic travel may be required).
Maintain adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, promoting a zero-harm culture.
Liaise effectively with customers and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle. Core Requirements

Degree in a technical discipline (HND with relevant experience may be considered).
Strong understanding of engineering principles and ability to communicate technical concepts.
Proficient in MS Office and project planning tools.
Proven experience in systems engineering for small to medium-sized development projects.
Familiarity with project management tools and techniques (e.g., Gantt charts). Desirable Skills

Experience with:
DOORS Requirements Management
SolidWorks 3D CAD
Altium PCB Design
2-5 years managing complex, multi-disciplinary design projects
