Technical Surveyor – The Role:
To be Hazelmere customer facing technical surveyor for both new build and refurbishment orders. Responsible and fully accountable for leading our enabling works from technical verification to order validation and realisation prior to order intake to our production facility both on time and within budget.
Technical Surveyor – Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting on-site inspections to assess existing windows, doors, glazing, and structures or other building items as needed
- Accurately measuring and recording data for new windows and doors, curtain wall or other building items as needed
- Identifying site-specific issues and recording them on the survey for later analyse to ensure technical verification of the order
- Ensuring compliance with building regulations, industry standards in line with the company procedures and contractual requirements
- Producing drawings and schedules to ensure customer sign off prior to onward production and buying scheduling
- Clearly communicating and recording all relevant events with customers, and team stakeholders within the value stream
- Understanding and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Ensuring the budgeted cost meets both company and client’s requirement
- Ensuring all critical paths are on time or extended by consent of the customer or company agreed timescales
Technical Surveyor - You:
- Minimum 5 years proven experience in window surveying, glazing, or a related industry in a similar role
- NVQ Level 3 in window surveying, CSCS gold card
- Strong knowledge of commercial glazing systems, building regulations, and industry standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with IT tools and software for data recording and management including Auto Cad
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently
- Full UK driving license
- Work away from home in remote locations as needed
- To be physically able to climb, kneel, crouch, reach
