Case Worker – Up to £40,000 – Manchester City Centre – Permanent

An extremely well-established firm of solicitors, specialising in managing property and finances for vulnerable clients who have lost capacity, are looking for a new Case Worker to join their dedicated team. The firm employs around 85 staff and offers a highly supportive working environment with experienced professionals across the business.

They are seeking someone with previous experience in a similar role, or experience managing finances for vulnerable individuals—particularly within banking, social care, or related fields. This Case Worker position offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference to clients’ lives while developing a long-term career.

Responsibilities

This Case Worker role involves working closely with a team of lawyers and building strong relationships with clients, their families, and carers. Duties include:

* Daily communication with clients and families via telephone, as well as annual home visits

* Supporting clients with financial arrangements such as paying bills, managing budgets, and purchasing vehicles

* Maintaining and updating case management systems

* Processing various documents and ensuring accurate record-keeping

* Acting as a compassionate, reliable point of contact for clients and their support networks

The ideal Case Worker will demonstrate:

* Experience within a financial management or related setting

* Strong attention to detail

* Excellent time-management and organisational skills

* Confident negotiation skills and a professional telephone manner

* Strong IT skills and the ability to learn systems quickly
