Job Title: Experienced TIG Welder
Location: Banbury Oxfordshire
Salary: £27,000 - £29,500
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
The Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced TIG Welder for our client based in Banbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality welds on a variety of materials and thicknesses, primarily using the Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding process. This role demands exceptional attention to detail, a strong commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform TIG welding on a range of materials including, but not limited to, stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel.
* Set up and operate welding equipment, adjusting settings as required for optimal performance.
* Fabricate and assemble components according to design specifications.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with other team members, engineers, and supervisors to ensure project deadlines are met.
* Identify and resolve welding issues, escalating complex problems to the appropriate personnel.
* Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment.
About You:
* Proven experience as a TIG Welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
* Demonstrable expertise in welding various materials, particularly stainless steel.
* Strong understanding of welding procedures, techniques, and quality control.
* Possession of relevant welding qualifications/certifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication & Welding, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
* A strong commitment to health and safety.
