Maintenance Fitter

35k, Knaresborough

Excellent opportunity for a skilled engineering fitter to join a growing manufacturer in the Knaresborough area. The role will include the planned and preventative maintenance of production equipment and facilities maintenance. This is a stand alone role and would suit a candidate with confident mechanical fault finding and skills.

The job:

Ensure manufacturing equipment is available and maintained to the correct standard.
Ensure all facility requirements are met and maintained, i.e. legionella, COSHH.
Trouble shoot equipment and facility issues, and repair equipment to ensure day to day manufacturing issues are resolved and actioned in a timely manner.
Analyse daily equipment metrics and use data driven decisions to improve processes and generate reports to document.
Implementation, development and delivery of a Scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance
Development and implementation of adequate Contractor Control of Works (CCoW) and Safe Systems of Work (SSW)
Reporting on maintenance spend and stock ensuring business critical spare parts are identified and available at all times SKILLS REQUIRED

Confident Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment maintenance.
Working knowledge of control systems.
Hands on experience of manufacturing equipment reactive and PPM and troubleshooting issues within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Continuous improvement mindset
Experience of Health and Safety and Environmental compliance.
