We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected electrical wholesale business seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to join their team.
This is a hands-on role suited to a motivated, knowledgeable, and customer-focused professional with an existing client base and a deep understanding of the electrical wholesale sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive business growth by maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients and identifying new sales opportunities.
Support all
front-of-house and counter sales operations, providing excellent customer service and technical advice.
Liaise with contractors, electricians, and trade professionals to understand requirements and recommend suitable products.
Work closely with the internal team to manage stock enquiries, pricing, and order fulfilment.
Assist with day-to-day branch operations, including answering phones, processing orders, managing displays, and keeping the trade counter running smoothly.
Keep up-to-date with market trends, product knowledge, and competitor activity to maintain a commercial edge.
Represent the business at trade events and industry functions as required.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar business development role within the electrical wholesale industry.
Strong existing network of contacts and clients within the sector.
In-depth knowledge of electrical products and their applications.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
A proactive and flexible approach able to switch between sales, customer service, and operational tasks as needed.
Strong commercial awareness with a passion for driving results.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage and grow your own client portfolio.
