Secondary School Inclusion Support Workers - Greenwich

Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Pay: £100 - £120 per day
Hours: Between 8:30am - 4:00pm
Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? Do you have experience working with trauma-informed approaches or alternative communication methods such as PECS, Makaton, or Phonics?
We are working with several inclusive and supportive primary schools across Leeds seeking Inclusion Support Workers to join their teams in September. These rewarding roles involve working closely with children who may have experienced trauma, have communication needs, or require emotional and behavioural support.
The Role:
Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small group interventions
Working across Secondary, KS3 and KS4 depending on experience
Supporting children with non-verbal communication needs
Using tools such as PECS, Makaton, and early Phonics strategies
Promoting social and emotional development through trauma-informed practice
About You:
Experience supporting children in a primary school or SEND setting
Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches is highly desirable
Confident using alternative communication tools (PECS, Makaton)
Patient, nurturing and proactive approach
