BDS Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive (Recruitment) Onboarding advisor for a leading public sector organisation in West Yorkshire.
Base: Remote
Contract: Fixed term 6-9 months in the first instance
Hours: 18.75 per week over 3 days (flexible)
Salary: From £30,000 pro rata
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring a smooth and compliant onboarding experience for new hires across our clients network. As an Onboarding advisor, you’ll be responsible for managing the full onboarding process for new starters within your assigned division. You’ll work closely with the Talent Acquisition team and other stakeholders to ensure all pre-employment checks are completed in line with the Safer Recruitment Policy guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires across your division - Specifically DBS / Reference / Qualification and Right to Work checks (Experience is Essential)
• Conduct manage and answer questions about DBS checks, right to work verification, reference collection, and qualification checks
• Act as the first point for all queries
• Make informed suitability decisions in line with regulatory guidance
• Support weekly compliance reporting and stakeholder updates
• Contribute to policy development and ensure adherence to internal controls
• Stay up to date with changes in legislation and sector-specific compliance requirements
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience in Recruitment Onboarding, HR, recruitment, and in a regulated environment (compliance) (essential)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet compliance targets
• Experience of Reference, DBS,RTW and pre-employment checks
• Proficiency in MS Office; ATS platforms
