Vision for Education are looking to appoint a Part-Time Teaching Assistant to work at a secondary school in the Dewsbury area.  This is a part-time role, with some flexibility on days, ideal for an experienced or newly qualified Teaching Assistant looking for their next opportunity.  To start May 2025, this position has the potential to be made permanent for the right candidate.

The role

The successful Part-Time Teaching Assistant will be a passionate and proactive individual, capable of building good relationships with pupils and staff.  Working in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, you will have a good understanding of the curriculum and be able to work with the class teacher to deliver sessions in small group sessions.  This is a great time to join us and become part of our committed teaching team.

Requirements

To be considered for the Part-Time Teaching Assistant position, you will:

Have previous, recent experience working with young people
Have a high level of literacy and numeracy
Have a flexible approach to work and be able to think on your feet
Be confident and have a positive approach that engages students in their learning
Have excellent classroom management skills
