Annual Salary: £21,000 - £24,000

We're working with a specialist SEN school in Bedford that's looking for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team ASAP. You'll play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and communication challenges.
What you'll be doing:
Leading small group learning activities and targeted interventions
Covering classes in the absence of the teacher
Supporting pupils' learning, engagement, and behaviour management throughout the day
Working closely with teaching staff, the SENCO, and the leadership team to plan and deliver tailored learning activities
Assisting with the preparation of specialist resources and maintaining a structured, supportive classroom environmentWhat we're looking for:
HLTA qualification or relevant school-based experience within SEN settings
Confident leading groups and covering whole classes
Calm, reliable and proactive approach, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
