Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Housing

Location: West Midlands

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Car Allowance

Job Type: Permanent, Hybrid Working

I am working with a house builder based in West Midlands who is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor. 40 hours per week. Hybrid working. Car Allowance Bonus & pension scheme available.
My client is a national speculative house builder whose biggest development sites are in the West Midlands, currently producing 750 units per year. Homes are valued between £250,000-£325,000 so a substantial amount of experienced is required.

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for:

- Highlighting any risks when preparing cost estimates for contracts and tenders.
- Effectively manage costs, maximising business profitability.
- Working from tender stage through to final account
- Seek out, locate, and assemble pre and post contract documentation, complimented with the necessary administration skills.
- Build & maintain healthy client relationships.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

- Must be a team player but also able to work on own initiative.
- Hold a relevant qualification in Construction / Quantity Surveying.
- Full driving licence.
- Full right to work in the UK without any form of sponsorship.
- Understanding of procurement practices and forms of main and sub-contract.
