One of my local government clients is seeking an experienced and versatile Multiskilled Trade Operative to join their Planned Maintenance Team. This role is essential in ensuring the upkeep and readiness of temporary accommodation units, supporting both ongoing maintenance and preparation for new occupants.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver a range of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, tiling, and flooring
• Respond to repair requests within occupied properties
• Carry out works on void properties to prepare them for new tenants
• Travel between sites as required, driving NNC vehicles during working hours
Essential Requirements
• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry, Plumbing, or Multiskilled Trades
• Valid Asbestos Awareness Certificate
• Proven experience in social housing, voids, and general repairs
• Experience fitting kitchens, flooring, and carrying out wet trades
• Full UK driving licence
• Access to own vehicle for commuting (NNC van provided during work hours)
• Ability to work across both Kettering and Corby Depots
