Science Teacher – Southend-on-Sea

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the Southend area. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who can deliver high‑quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of KS5 depending on experience.

About the Role

As the successful candidate, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
Differentiate effectively to support mixed-ability classes
Maintain strong behaviour management and create a positive learning environment
Contribute to departmental planning, assessments and curriculum development
Support the wider school community where required

What We’re Looking For

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – essential
Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
Ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students
Confident behaviour management
A proactive, committed and professional approach
Previous UK secondary school teaching experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
