Depot Manager - Waste Management Industry.
Based Manchester
Salary: £55,000 basic, plus car allowance (£450 PCM) & performance related bonus (5% of salary)

Established for over 20 years, this well-established waste management and recycling company offers commercial waste collection and waste disposal.
Proudly carrying out over a million waste collections throughout the NW, along with their recently upgraded modern MRF facility, a fleet of 30+ trucks and employing over 100 people, this rapidly expanding business is going through a very exciting growth offering exciting career progression and development opportunities to those lucky enough to be part of their journey.
Depot Manager Role:
* Reporting into the Head of Operations.
* Manage the day-today operations of the Traffic Office - 32 vehicles, 36 drivers and 4 office Staff.
* Working with the Fleet Manager ensuring vehicle compliance with regulations.
* Building excellent customer relationships.
* Work towards and achieve business KPI’s.
* As part of this role, you will sit as the O’License Holder for site.
* Build team morale and intern improve business performance.
Experience
* Waste industry experience, with understanding of the waste industry and relevant laws - will also consider high volume service industry.
* Experience of operational and customer service line management in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
* Experience of people and health and safety management within a multi-shift environment.
* Experience as a People Manager or position of similar responsibility in the Services or Logistics industry.
* The ability to work within a commercially driven and time-critical environment.
Qualifications / Skills
* Full UK Driving License. – Essential
* CPC -Certificate of Professional Competence - in Road Haulage (National) – Essential
* Desirable - IOSH/NEBOSH.
* Class 2 Driving License.
* English and Maths GCSE or equivalent.
Additional Details:
* 45 hours per week (various shifts) – 8am to 5pm (plus any additional hours required to meet the needs of the business)
* The depot operates 4am - 6pm
* 20 days holiday plus all Bank Holiday. This increases each year by one day until they reach a maximum of 25 days.
