Family Support Worker - Bolton
FULL TIME, ASAP UNTIL JULY 2026
Prospero Teaching is looking for an Family Support Worker to take a position at their school, set in a purpose built school in Bolton. This school is a specialist provision for young people who need that little extra support and guidance, due to SEMH needs. Students at this school can pose challenges but staff who are calm, patient, resilient and caring will make huge differences in this setting.
We have worked with this group of schools for several years now and they are keen to continue forging relationships with the families of the young people in their care. There is lots of training available for the successful position and our SLT run regular CPD for all staff. This role would also suit an experienced SEMH support worker looking for a role where you can get out of the confines of the classroom and out into the community with the young people you support. It may also interest colleagues with a background in social work, or Pastoral Management in high schools.
For this role, you need to own a vehicle and be willing to obtain business insurance. You will be visiting families daily to break down the barriers to school attendance and learning.
