25 Days Holiday + BanksOur client is a leading industrial process & manufacturing company, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. They are looking for a charismatic, driven Electrical Technician to join their expanding team.
Responsibilities
Perform routine, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of electrical, ICA, PLC, and combustion systems
Implement and follow a preventive maintenance plan to ensure optimal plant performance
Diagnose and repair faults in instrumentation and control systems
Maintain compliance with ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards and all relevant safety legislation
Support other engineering and maintenance activities as needed
Use the CMMS system for work order management, reporting, and materials sourcing
Lead and support plant improvement initiatives focused on electrical and ICA systems
Conduct risk assessments and apply safe systems of work at all times
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including providing maintenance reports and shift handoversKey Skills & Qualifications
Completed electrical engineering maintenance apprenticeship (Indentured or NVQ Level 3 with BTEC or equivalent)
Hands-on experience in maintaining fixed industrial plant and equipment, ideally in a heavy industry setting
Familiarity with pumps, mills, burners/furnaces, welding, and chemical processing systems is advantageous
Strong IT skills for inventory management and work order reporting
Experience with combustion systems, PLCs, and control instrumentation preferred
Full UK driving license requiredTechnical & Personal Skills:
Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and Variable Speed Drive systems
Knowledge of ISO9001 standards regarding instrument calibration
Proficient in applying Health & Safety regulations, risk assessments, and lone working practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a small, flexible team
Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement (e.g. 5S, Root Cause Analysis, KPI management)
