Full Time - 1 Year Fixed-Term Contract - September 2025 Start

Salary: £55,000 to £86,000 based on experience.

Head of Pre-Prep

Academics are proud to be working in partnership with a prestigious independent school in the Canterbury area, who are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Pre-Prep to join their Senior Leadership Team.

This key leadership role will involve overseeing the strategic and day-to-day running of the Nursery and Pre-Prep (ages 2-7), ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning, and pastoral care across the EYFS and KS1.

The Role:

Lead and manage the Nursery and Pre-Prep departments
Inspire and develop a high-performing team of early years and KS1 educators
Drive continuous improvement and innovation in curriculum delivery
Work closely with other SLT members to uphold the school's ethos and values
Maintain strong partnerships with parents and the wider school communityThe Ideal Candidate:

A qualified teacher (QTS) with substantial leadership experience in early years and KS1
Holds the NPQH (National Professional Qualification for Headship)
Proven track record of delivering outstanding EYFS and KS1 provision
A confident and inspiring leader with excellent communication and organisational skills
Committed to nurturing the whole child in a warm and inclusive environmentThis is a full-time, fixed-term contract (1 year) position, starting September 2025.
