Excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer/fitter to join a highly successful Scientific Instrument Manufacturer in their fast-paced manufacturing team.

You will be responsible for the assembly of scientific instrumentation, combining components to construct complex sub-assemblies. The ability to assemble intricate parts to fine tolerances is a key attribute to this role – during the course of your work you will also be encouraged to identify potential engineering improvements.

Candidates should have:

* An engineering background e.g. an apprenticeship, ONC or equivalent in mechanical

* Minimum qualification of BTEC Mechanical Engineering

* Excellent team and communication skills are a must.

* A background in precision engineering from the automotive, aerospace or medical device industry would be beneficial; as would cleanroom experience.
