Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £65,000 - £85,000

Benefits: Will tailor package dependant upon the individual's experience - other benefits include car allowance, pension, healthcare and bonus

The Opportunity:

As the function grows, you will have the opportunity to build and lead your own commercial team, defining processes and driving consistency across the business.

This is a very unique opportunity and one of those roles that doesn't come around very often.

They are a dynamic fit-out contractor delivering exceptional projects, with a turnover of £45m. Over the past 18 months, they launched a thriving business unit focused on traditionally procured projects. Today, this unit contributes up to 50% of their total turnover. This has created a unique opportunity for the right candidate to make a real impact.

About the Senior Quantity Surveyor role

They’re seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take the lead on the commercial function — someone ready to step into a role offering greater influence, autonomy, and career growth than a traditional QS position.

Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor role:

* Take direct responsibility for commercial delivery on live projects, from subcontract procurement through to valuations and variations.

* Establish systems, structure, and discipline needed to ensure consistency and confidence in reporting across the unit.

* Collaborate closely with the Commercial Director, gaining senior-level visibility and the chance to make a tangible impact on the business.

* Be part of a journey to grow and shape a high-performing commercial function, with the potential to lead your own team as the business expands
